On May 24, 2011, we were notified that we had been approved for a National CASA New Progam Development grant award in the amount of $34,500. This is the second year in a row we have received this competitive grant! This award allowed us to keep our Executive Director in a full-time paid position and retain a part-time Volunteer Coordinator.  Since we are required to provide paid professional staff to support our volunteer Advocates, we have been able to increase the number of children we are able to serve at this time to a total of thirty.

On March 30, 2011, CASA of the Heartland was notified that we had been approved for a United Way grant in the amount of $20,000.
